What it treats

BOTOX® is an FDA-approved neuromodulator made from botulinum toxin type A. It temporarily relaxes the muscles that create expression lines:

  • Frown lines between the brows — the “11s”
  • Forehead lines
  • Crow’s feet at the outer corners of the eyes

Dosing is matched to your facial anatomy, not to a chart.

What to expect

  1. Consultation. We assess facial anatomy, talk through your concerns, and confirm Botox is the right choice.
  2. Treatment. A series of small injections with a fine needle. Most people describe it as a brief pinch. You leave and go about your day.
  3. Results. Movement softens within 3–7 days and settles around day 14. Maintenance every 3–4 months keeps lines from deepening.

Ready when you are

Every treatment starts with a consultation — your goals, your history, and whether this is the right option for you.

Preparing and recovering

Before your appointment
  • Avoid blood thinners and supplements that thin blood — aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil, vitamin E, turmeric — for 5–7 days, unless your doctor prescribed them.
  • No alcohol for 24 hours beforehand.
  • No chemical peels, lasers, or microneedling for 7 days beforehand.
  • Hydrate, and eat something before you come.
  • Arrive with clean skin — no makeup on the treatment area.
  • Please reschedule if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, unwell, or have a rash, infection, or inflammation where we would inject.
After your appointment
  • Stay upright for at least 4 hours.
  • Gentle facial movement in the first hour is encouraged.
  • Do not touch, rub, or massage the treated areas for 24 hours.
  • No strenuous exercise, saunas, hot tubs, or excessive heat for 24 hours.
  • No alcohol for 24 hours.
  • Mild redness, swelling, or bruising can happen and settles quickly.

Results vary with skin type, age, anatomy, and lifestyle, and no result is guaranteed. Treatment is performed by a trained medical provider. Possible side effects include temporary redness, swelling, or bruising at the injection site.
