PRP or PRF?
Same blood, different preparation. Which one you get depends on the area and the goal, and it is decided at consultation.
- PRF is gel-like, with a higher platelet concentration and a slow, sustained release. Injected. Suited to delicate work for under-eye, lip, and facial rejuvenation.
- PRP is liquid, releasing growth factors faster. Applied topically during microneedling. Suited for skin rejuvenation.
What to expect
- Consultation. After reviewing your medical history and needs, we decide which modality of plasma to utilize to best address your needs.
- Treatment. A small blood tube is drawn, then processed in the ProGen system. The concentrate is injected into the desired area or applied topically during microneedling.
- Results. Mild redness, swelling, or tenderness may be present for a few days. You may experience an increase in hydration and skin rejuvenation within the first few weeks. Collagen buildup normally starts around week four, but results may vary depending on overall health. A series of 3–6 sessions may be necessary, depending on your goals, 4–6 weeks apart.
The system we use
Plasma therapy is only as good as the platelets you get back. Concentration depends entirely on how the blood is processed, overall health, and processing systems vary widely. We use the ProGen PRP Eclipse system by Crown Aesthetics.

Results build over weeks rather than appearing at once, and they depend on your age, health, and skin. Pre- and post-treatment care is specific to the area treated, and your provider gives it to you at your appointment.
