How GLP-1 works
GLP-1 medications mimic a hormone your body already makes — one that helps regulate hunger and gastric emptying. They work on the signals, not on willpower:
- You feel full sooner, and stay full longer
- The constant “food noise” and cravings quiet down
- The stomach empties more slowly
- Blood sugar steadies, and insulin response improves
Medication is one part of the plan. Paired with higher-protein nutrition, strength work, and steady follow-up, it becomes a tool rather than a crutch — and the results are yours to keep.
How the program works
- Evaluation and labs. Every plan starts with a consultation and blood work — to understand how your body is functioning and whether this is a safe, sensible path for you.
- A plan built for you. Based on your results, we build the plan — nutrition and lifestyle guidance, targeted supplementation through Fullscript, and a GLP-1 medication if it is clinically appropriate.
- Every four weeks. We see you monthly to track progress, adjust the plan, and titrate the dose slowly — for comfort, for safety, and to keep side effects down. This is where sustainable change actually happens.
Ready when you are
This program is not right for everyone, and a medical evaluation with blood work decides eligibility. That is where it begins.

What to expect
The first few weeks. Appetite eases and portions shrink on their own. Many people need reminders to prioritise protein and water — the medication makes it easy to eat too little.
Over time. Healthy weight change builds gradually, alongside consistent habits. The dose is raised slowly for a reason.
Side effects. Nausea, constipation, reflux, reduced appetite, and fatigue can happen — most often during dose increases. We coach you through prevention and adjust the plan if you need us to. You are not on your own with it.
Results vary and are not guaranteed; they depend on your health, lifestyle, and how closely you follow the plan. This program is not suitable for everyone, and a full medical evaluation including blood work is required to determine eligibility. All treatment is prescribed and monitored by a licensed provider. Some medications discussed at consultation may not be FDA-approved for weight loss and are used case-by-case only when medically appropriate. This page is general information, not medical advice.
